:bang: :bang: I am wiring my headunit up to my ignition on my MK2 Punto as i cannot seem to figure any wiring combination to get it to work with ignition without doing this. I understand this can be done but what is the best place to do it from without overloading the fuses. The stereo is a Pioneer DEH-P80MP and has the fuses built in on the Permanent Live and Ignition feeds.

the cig lighter is controlled by the ignition and will be ok to run the hu

i already have door sill lights and footwell neons running off this, will it still be ok to run HU from it. Would it handle the power??? Also what would be the best way to connect it up?

you only need the switched live connected to this,
you might get some interference from the neons though
it should be able to supply enough power as the cig lighter needs alot to run it
