Technical injection system failure light has come on, advice please.

i have a 2001 fiat punto 1.2 16v elx and as i drove drove home from work i noticed the light had come on so checked my manual when i got home and it says its the injection system failure light, i have no idea what i have to do i need the car daily to get to work advice please. it says in my book it causes loss of performance, i didnt notice the light until i came off the motorway and it seemed fine. and how much would this cost? theres no loss of power i overtook a for cars on motorway easy and no judering just this light comes on. i need this car at about 8am tomorrow morning so if someone could get back to me by then to let me know if its best not to drive it.

The quickist way is to get the fault red by a fiat dealer or someone with a diagnostic machine to quickly pinpoint the fault then fix your self. as you will be there all day changing things . hope that helped.

being serious my freind ,its cheaper to get the code read (although its a rip off ) fuel injection problems include-spark plug leads, fuel pump , lambda, split or badly fitted tubes, relays, head gasket, fuel filter ,air filter, electrical short, faulty sensors, timing belt, fuel regulator, bad fuel,injector blockage, worn injector ect.ect . sorry but i have the same problem, have to bite the bullet . good luck:bang:
