General condensation in headlight

Doesnt really need a step guide, your looking for a water entry point, this can be anywhere! Start off with the rubber cover at the back of the bulb fitting point, is there one? Has it got holes in or is it loose? If all is ok you may have a hairline crack in the lens or lamp body within the car mounting point.

Its caused by water getting in and not being able to escape it condenses into mist which you see.

Any discoloration of the reflector? I guarantee there is a water entry point somewhere! Maybe source a good lamp unit from a scrappies but you need to take care.

mk2 punto's have condensation in and can be solved by drilling holes in the back cover of the light which will remove any of the condensation, another way wud be to put some silca gel bags in the back of each headlight this should hopefully sort it.

Really? :spin::chin: the silica gel I understand, but wont the holes let more moisture in? Headlamp units should be totally sealed.

I've drilled holes in the top of the casing, and placed silica bags OVER the holes.. worked perfectly.
