Hello all, now please be gentle with the new boy!
I have just got a 1999 Punto SX 60 Selecta and I have a slight problem with the automatic gearbox. Firstly the auto box warning light comes on on the dash and secondly, when first started up and put into (any) gear, nothing happens? When it does start working after a couple of minutes, everything works perfectly.
Now then, this strikes me initially as being an oil level issue, (not enough = low pressure. Too much = cavitation of the oil, leading to pressure fluctuation). Or maybe a blocked oil way or filter.I haven't checked anything so far.
Although any of the above would affect (I would've thought) gearbox performance at all times?
So my question is, are there any other (I'm thinking electrical) well known issues with these gearboxes?
Thanks in advance..
