I've been told if I remove the battery I have to reset the key code. Problem is I have not got a red key to do that. I got a punto. Any ideas anyone.

no battery should not effect the keycode, you will loose radio code though, you can get code savers that plug into cigerette lighter for about £5 or connect a spare battery to your leads before you remove them.

I am about to change the battery on a Fiat Ducato 2.8 jtd 2001 which is the base vehicle for my Hobby 750 motorhome and I was told the same wanted to be sure as am in Spain at present...
