hi there im thinking of buying a FIAT PUNTO HGT 2000 V REG tommorow and i was just going to ask a couple of questions if thats ok,firstly is there any known probs in general i should be aware of? also the owner says hes lost the sat nav disc but they are easy to get? are they or is he telling porkies? also do they all have aircon? many thanks in advance.

sat nav disce can be bought from dealer iirc there not cheap
aircon standard i think ,well all the ones i've seen had it
problemsl; apart from normal mk2 problems ie;steering faults the only thing to do is start the car from cold and listen for a diesel sound for the first few seconds this means the variator needs replacing about £200 fitted, when doing this make sure the engine is cold as if its slightly warm it could hide the fault, so when you got to look at the car wait as long as possible before you start the engine

also he said the exhaust rattles abit when going over bumps,ive read on here could be the variant? is this right

the rear section of the exhaust will knock on the body if its not fitted correctly
