At the risk of sounding thick,can anyone give me an clue as to how many miles a set of bosch pads should last on a mk2b sporting (driven sensibly and not hammered!)Thought they looked ok but now may think differently after having a look with the wheels off! also anyone know where i can get some replacements (bosch) online? cheers.

On average i would say around 20,000 miles, but it does depend a lot on what type of driving you do (ie motorway, town etc, not just hammering it or sensible)

You can get them online from quite a few places such as Shop4Parts How worn are they? have you measured them?

Iwould say that they look about 3.5mm in the middle and have done 17000 miles of mainly decent distance journeys.service not due till april so wondered if theyed last? looked at shop4parts but they dont seem to supply bosch.(realy like as they give off very little dust) also what cost do u recon for a good independent to fit them if i am feeling lazy?

it'll only take about 15mins to fit them, if you go to a garage then they'll take their time and charge you an hourly rate.,

Carnt for for the life of me find anywhere supply only for bosch.Have been recomended mintex and they seem a good price.Any advice and more importantly what they like for brake dust?(i live in the newcastle area)cheers.
