that is the same excuse every internet warrior who claims they have a turbo conversion uses

if you want to be taken seriously on the forum you need to cut the bull**** and come clean that you don't really have a turbo conversion.

iirc chris lied about having a Type-R when he joined, he owned up about that and he is kinda taken seriously now :p

oh G thanks :p

I got some guy to do it for me.. well ma bro actually sorted it out for me and he got his mechanic to do it for free. a friend of mine works in a scrap yard so i paid very little, second hand (this is why i did it so quickly and it was cheap)

Its a T25 turbo 285cam with a front mounted intercooler and a superchip re-mapped... my mechanic took it off todai cos it was ****in the car up (he is an excellent mechanic so its not him.. could be the turbo..)

anyways.. i think im just gona keep this car or buy an Audi a3 :)

assuming this is true...

no wonder it's ****ing the car up if you've just plonked a turbo in there and a 'superchip'. a turbo conversion on a FIRE engine would need some sort of proper management to power the injectors as the standard ECU can't see boost. in fact would most probably need bigger injectors as i doubt the standards are up to the job of fueling a turbo engine...

sounds like this 'great mechanic' isn't as great as you think. turbo conversions are quite a tricky thing to get right unless you have a ready made kit and a set of instructions to follow or are a good engineer
