Right,
I changed the thermostat in my car yesterday. Checked it after I had done so, for leaks, and all was ok.
This morning I drove into work, and watched the needle, and it rose to approx the one quarter mark, which I assumed was the norm.
However when I stopped at traffic lights I noticed it rise fairly quickly to above the wuarter mark, and then drop below again once I had moved off. Thought that was abit strange ?
Once I had arrived at work, I left the car running for a bit to check that the fan would come on, which it hadn't, by the three quarter mark, when I switchd the car off.
The fan had been operating normally up until I had changed the thermostat.
Is it possible for a faulty thermostat to result in the fan not coming on ?
Could low coolant level stop the fan working ?
Any other suggestions ?
Thanks
