hi i got a call there from a friend who has broke down on the moterway he asked me to give him a jump (i laughed at him.) then he asked for a tow but i cant do that either can i?

the symptoms he said wasn't very helpfull he said:

the battery light came on there was a ticking sound then it cut out

hes tried to start it again the starter moter doesnt turn so could it be an earth wire (if so where should he look?) or the alternator gubbed or somthing

please help...........

cant you connect a battary to the starter to check?

kool the polis are there so they will get towed so not my problem anymore

i laughed at him he thought i could just turn the car around on the moterway or park up along side him, loooool

plus i think its even illegal to stop on the hard shoulder
