Hellooo,

Something i would like to do to my punto mk2 if its not to chavish, is to put in one of those like sprays in the car. Im not sure what the name is and i tried to find out.

Its in 2 fast 2 furious, he pushes a button and some sort of gas sprays out the side of his wheels.

I think that is kl and looks gd.

Can someone tell me whether it will look chavish and **** but most of all does anyone no how much it would cost me to buy one and how can i fit it.

Thanks again

Remus

Hi mate,

Nitros Oxide (which is what i think your referign to) is normally injected into the engine itself to give you a sudden burst if power. These kits are quite expensive, and on a 1.2 will probably destroy it after a few pushes. Also, dont forget that this would have to be declared to yuor insurance company, and would cost you LOTS extra on your insurance.
I'm not sure about what was spraying out of the wheels, but I wouldnt bother with it personally as its not going to add any performance to your car.

Cheers,
Alan

to add a Purge Kit to a Nitrous system you can expect to pay £100 + for a good Purge system (after paying £200 / £300 for NOS in the first place) but i'f you just want the looks i saw a Purge "look-a-like" kit in motor world for about £50 (link below).. not sure it will have the waste gate (dump valve) noise as it does in films etc.. but should look the part - chavy that is!

What you saw on 2 Fast 2 Furious is referred to as a 'Screamer Pipe' and its an outlet from the turbo's blow off valve opposed to have it routed back through the exhaust. basically when the engine revs up and the turbo spools up to full pressure when you release the throttle the excess boost pressure is ejected through the blow off valve and out the pipe and up some tarts skirt :D. Your car is not turbo'd so not possible.

You could do what someone has described on here with nitrous oxide but I seriously won't bother especially if its just for show

2 fast 2 furious is NOS purge....not a screamer pipe. 2f2f is aimed at the chav market....screamer pipes are a bit too technical for them.
It'z gas m8 innit :p

Thanks tho guys

o and how long wouold it take for me to put the kit on and wat would i be doin (Drilling or glueing etc..)

No problem, i dont think it would be too difficult to set up, i imagine you'll have to get 12v to it via a switch inside the car somewhere (to operate it) and maybe drill a couple of hole for the vents for the gas to actually come out off.. cant imaging it would be too difficult !

You could use a cryo kit....which is a bit like NOS....but uses CO2
That way you may find the bottle easier to fill....as industrial gauge CO2 is available from most places that do welding supplies.
Also CO2 isn't flammable....so no worries there...insurers and flammable gases don't mix so CO2 *shouldn't* up your premium as much as Nitrous would.
Cryo kits are available from places like Demon Tweeks and a few other major 'mod' firms.

Actually Nitrous Oxide (N2O) itself is not flammable, A Nitrous Oxide system simply uses Nitrous to compress the stored Oxygen to about 2.1 times it's normal atmospheric pressure, it then delivers more oxygen into the Cylinders causing the engine to "suck" more petrol which inturn boost's the engines compression ratio which makes you go faster.. so the only flammable substance envolved is the petrol !

So it explodes more violently because there is more oxygen therefore more rich... hmmmm, i always for N20 was flammable.... highly flammable!

Definition of N2O from Dictionary.com..

The nitrous itself isn't flammable...I'll give you that...but a bloody great canister of high pressure gas in the boot of the car...when you get rear-ended...not really a grand idea.
Oh....and you are correct in saying that the increased volume of oxygen causes more petrol to be drawn. More oxygen....that'll be highly flammable oxygen then won't it.
Ya see what I am getting at?

its not as expensive as everyone is saying to get the effect.

Demon tweeks do a kit that goes into your wiper washer bottle and has to jets that go under ur arches. it uses the water pressurises it up then blows it out as vapour.

giving the fast and furious effect :slayer:

only took 10 minutes to fit to my old mk1, people might say its chav, but when its ur car its only ur opinion that counts at the end of the day. and ur never going to get a punto with blistering performance unless u do major work, anyway (thats why i got rid of mine) so u might as well make it look how u want it.

umm no, if u read the website, as i said it goes into the washer bottle and shoots water vapour so no gas refills required. ive already had it so i know wat what it does.
