OK, so I've had the head re-faced, I've bought all new gaskets, bolts, etc, and I've touqued the head down to the settings in Haynes manual - and the head is still leaking water (in way of front end of No. 1 cylinder) - any suggestions how to fix?

I've run the car for about 20 miles - if I take the head off again will it need to be re-skimmed.

All suggestions gratfully received.

you may not want to do this but you can put a small bead of silicon sealent on block face then put gasket on top with another small bead of silicon on top of gasket place head on top and leave with no bolts in over night so that silicon goes off torque up bolts and it should be okay had to do this many times with more than just fiats the old renault 5's were a bitch to seal and this was an easy fix for them hope this helps..
