I have a 2000 w reg ELX fiat punto, have had problems from word go with this pile of rubbish!
and its drivin me round the bend
i had problems with it just not starting i would go to it try start it would not work call the mechanics (3 times) came sat in and it started strait away everytime. they couldnt figure out what it was, so ended up having to take it to the fiat dealers and they said it would cost over £700 to get this problem fixed as a 19 yr old student could def not afford so i thought i will just have to cope, then a mate of my dads mentioned the TOP DEAD CENTRE SENSOR, dad bought me one fitted it and not had a problem in that way since, but i have has power steering problems after about a month when i got it n oct last year.
i was told it was power steering motor got a new one still no luck
then was told it was the ecu, got a new one still no change?
am at a loss now and dont know what else to do?
please if you can give me any advicei would so much appreciate it, but keep in mind i am a 19yr old female student, so explain in laymons terms please
