I have a Mk1 Punto and just recently its been making a squeek and then squeeling when i put the clutch pedel down, take it off and back into neutral and it stops...

A mate of mine says it the clutch release baring? how much it to replace? i dont mind about fitting it myself, same too if its going to be a new clutch too :-(

Clutch release bearings will squeal when they go bad, while your down there its usually a good bet to completely replace the whole clutch with a new one, its a long job requiring lots of cups of coffee. and tea breaks.


look on ebay, you can get clutch kits really cheap.
