Can anybody help? My rear brake lights are not working. The bulbs are ok and the fuse is ok. Could it be the switch on the brake pedal? I don't know. Can anybody help

could well be, best way too test it is too bend a paperclip into a u shape and use that too short out the switch.
If the lights work then you know its the switch, well thats the way i allways do it :D

Pull the plug off the switch and they should be on! When the switch is pressed the brake lights go out.

Unfortunately that won't work; the switches are designed to complete the circuit when released. i.e. when the pedal is depressed, the switch is released and swtches the lights on; when the pedal comes back up, the switch is pressed, the circuit is broken and the lights go out.

Unplug the connector and short the two contacts together; then the lights should work.
