i havent bort 1 of these because i want 1 its just becuase theres so many mixed opinions flying around i just wanted to put my mind at rest.
1) i was jus wundering if i put one in my car (punto mk1 97 60s) for a couple of days would this damage it at all.
2) ware the hell is the iat ona a punto mk1? ( pictures would help allot)

In that case don't bother. Its better for your engine running it with no oil .

yeh, you *might* feel a very very slight increase in performance for a few hundred yards befotre it coats the sparks, cylinder walls, valves etc in soot, then destroys your cat and possibly lambda sensor.

well all it does is cause your air temp sensor reading to trick the ecu into thinking it's minus 40 celcius out side witch then causes the ecu to put in way to much fuel for a tiny power increase then when the lambda probe says hang on that's not the right mixture it backs the fuel off again brining the hole fuel map down again to correct so it makes a tiny difference for maybe one or two trips

main disadvantages

it coats your engine in soot
destroys your cat
ruins your wiring (cos you have to cut into it to fit it)
causes bore washing with raw fuel taking away the lubricating oil
takes away you mpg
and mucks with the engine ecu map causing loads of flat spots
