Technical Rear wiper just stopped - now won't work! Help

Hi,

Hope someone can help! My 1996 55sx Punto's rear wiper stopped working this morning, I turned it on to clear the window, it moved about an inch and just stopped there, now wont work at all. Will it need a new motor or something? If so how easy is it to fix/replace?

Another question, which may sound a bit dumb, but I really aint clued-up! I'm going to replace the front brake pads, but when I rang a parts place to see if they had them in stock, they asked if my car had ASB or non-ASB brakes. How do you know which ones you need and how do you know if your car has ABS??

first one may be a fuse gone or mor liely the motor hjas broken not to hard to replace.

as for brakes i dont think your car does have them but if it does when you first turn the key in the car thre will be an abs light of somesort comes on and then goes out usually its orange may say abs cant remember.

The wiper motor has a plug on it where the electrical wiring connects to it. It's more likely that the plug is loose, or the connections have become disturbed rather than the motor failing.

Get someone to have a look (try cleaning the connections etc.). before you buy a new motor.

rear wiper motor assembly is dead easy to change.

just don't get one from a car where the wiper is stuck in halfwya acros the screen position, that usually means its dead


your car won't have ABS.

My rear window wiper moved about an inch or so aswell, this happned about 2 month ago so i just re-fitted the blade to make it look level again lol
