Just changed clutch slave cylinder and need to bleed it ,as it feels like there is nothing there. any help would be gratefull.:bang:

same way that you do brakes

dont want to be funny but i dont know how to bleed brakes either , i have took the nipple lid off and i have been pumping the clutch but there is still nothing there.

you need 2 people, you undo nipple a half turn, get other bloke to press pedal down and keep it down till you do nipple up, then they can let pedal up, repeat until fluid an no bubbles come out. make you you keep fluid topped up whilst you are doing it

I know what you are saying but the nipple i was talking about is on the clutch slave cylinder and it is just a little rubber cap ,which nipple and where -is there another nipple i should turn/open . sorry to sound abit daft

cap is just dust cover, you need turn the pit its on

what did you mean, there isn't anything to turn as far as i can see, sorry to be a pain, and do you know if it is hard to fit a gear selector cable . thanks

under that black cap, there a bit you turn with spanner

you have shown a mk1 cylinder, mine is a mk2 cylinder

they all have a nipple the same

It does not have one ,i have 2 here and none of them are as you have described , this is just one peice of plastic there is nothing to bleed

It is a mk2 1.2 8v X reg the slave is one peice of plastic
