i wonder if this could be made a stiky

basickly a small crude drawing I made for someone to save me explaining were to put glue when replacing the rocker cover gasket



without this glue they tend to leak also fiat put glue here from new so may aswell copy this

1 question though, what kind of glue should be used and where do you get it from? I take it the glue is in addition to using the blue hylomar stuff?

it's that black stuff you get from fiat when you buy a new sump

basikly it's a high temperature silicone glue

no hylomar is needed just this glue in the corners

next time I do one at work I ill take a quick pic on my phone to show you exactly were it goes

yep silicone glue it's what fiat use

they wouldn't put it there if there was no reason for it

Yes.. the black and the blue essentially do the same thing. I use Blue all round the gasket and sofa so good.

you sure its not RTV sealant

good quality RTV is all thats needed.

rtv is silicone but does anyone actually know what rtv stands for

I was always told it was silicone, well high temperature high resistance non corosive silicone more like a higher grade of what you buy in the shops

Room Temperature Vulcaniser. It is indeed made of silcone.
