I love my Punto, but it seems as soon as one problem gets fixed another one comes into the picture!

I was just driving along and the actual gearknob came off the stick. It goes back on but isn't secure because of the spring on the stick used for reverse gear. Do I need to buy a new gearknob or can I just safely secure this with one with something?

same thing happened to me, just used some 'propa' superglue inside the gearstick and held it on for a few minutes- never happened again

new ones are not all that expensive and just push on it's quite common on puntos as the plastic splits

but i like the glue idea maybe some epoxy resin

do dealers stock the gear knobs or are we talking scrappies / ebay?

oh ye epoxy resin would do the trick

yes dealers do stock them could even splash out on a leather one telling them you have an active sport or something like that they both will fit your stick
