Ive had a problem with my punto since I bought it last year and i still don't know what is causing it. When I put my foot down in low gears the car judders and sometimes comes to a complete stop! Very dangerous when pulling out at roundabouts etc. So I have to be light footed on the accelerator when Im pulling out which makes alot of cars have to slow down. Id like to get this sorted asap so if anyone has had this problem will you tell me how you sorted it or does anyone know what it will be? Thanks.

don't drive it like that matey, will get you killed one day.

change...

throttle body position sensor. wiring to it
change the injector over (not hard) and its O ring
fuel pump
ecu
inlet manifold gasket/throttle body gasket

I would think its a fuel supply problem. as it intially has power, then runs out.

if you've already changed the pump/fuel regulator, then replace all the fuel hose, could be leaking/blocked/corroded

I know mate it is dangerous. I think it could be a fuel related problem ill change the fuel pump and the hose and see if it gets any better if not ill take it to a garage.

Far more likely (and cheaper) is an ignition misfire caused by knackered HT leads breaking down under load (full throttle, low revs).

Could also be a faulty MAP sensor, or even simpler it's vacuum hose is split. Check the small rubber hose that goes from the inlet manifold to the sensor under the fuse cover on the bulkhead.
