Hi guys,

It could be that im rubbish at buying cars and possibly bought a lemon :(

After the day I bought my mk2 punto i got mirror problems, is there a way to remove the glass on the passenger mirror so i can re-attach the cables or at least find out whats going on before i give myself 7 years bad luck ? I had a look on th knob inside but its defintely come off on the mirror side.

Also I seem to have fooked the central locking, in fact i cant remember being 100% sure it even had locking, it certainly dun have lectric bugger all else. :bang:

Is there somewhere i can download a service manual for this car ?

How can i seal a misty headlight ? or are they expensive to replace ?

Theres a possibility I may want to trade the 5 spoke fox racing alloys with LP tyres for el standard steels (with good tyres) and caps

Thanks for all yall help in advance, this is my first view/post of this forum.

Not exactly a lemon is it!

Its a secondhand used car of course there will be issues with it.If you got from garage return it for repair if private sale then thats why you got it for the price you did.

You dont need a service manual, all you need is the FF(y)

lol yeah, as you'll see, my name IS error, given to me by my friends for making soooooo many :)

all I can find out is that the car is a 1.2 16v punto, no other signs decals on it, the paperwork just says the same. The V5 has not arrived back yet.

Ideally i just need to download a manual for this somewhere so i can check the mirror, find out if i can do anything with this light thats always full of condensation or whether i have to replace it, and check out the central locking/ lack thereof.

the passgenger mirror glass is facing the floor, when trying to push it up it just springs back down.

I dun profess to be a mechanic (obviously)

again thanks in advance for the help.

mirror sounds buggerd new one about £5 from scrappy.

the lights some fixes we have had here are drill hole in back cover (the newer mk2s have that as standard) get some of them little packs of cristals that come with new electrical goods that absorb moisture and stick then in side back of light, or do what i do and just leave back cover off
