As the title, is it as easy as a MK1? (Swapping the relay?) If so then I definatly want to do it!

yea, its dead easy! two options, the fiat one, which is v expensive, but is pretty much just a case of changing the relay, or you can get a universal one of ebay, and then just splice into the wires. for the second option, all the connections are done in the in the fuse box to the right of the steering wheel. Wil did out a list of which wire does what if your interested?

I don't believe there is a Meta relay kit for the Mk2.
I have purchased a universal remote central locking and alarm kit off of eBay (made by rightclick) and I will be fitting it on Tuesday.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Thats the one i went for! Had it in for a couple of months now, works perfectly! well impressed for the price!! The range is amazing too! can lock and unlock the car from really far away!
Let me know if you have any probs, i've put a few in now, cos once she saw mine, the missus wanted one etc etc

you can buy the meta m320 for the mk2 from fiat for around £80 iirc, but they sell on ebay for around £30 every once in a while.
I brought a fiat one, installed myself. wernt to bad to install just need to add few wires into old wires. Indicators flash once when locked and twise when opened. Think it brilliant not really had any problems with it so far and had it for about 6 months now. Good luck

Probably, a lot more work though.
I doubt it'd be worth it TBH, but if there is a kit out there you never know.
