my punto 75sx has the horrible blue interior.
i want out with it!
is there any way to spray paint it black?
or
what other CHEAP options do i have?
thinking of covering them in black material. whack on some pva lol.

any ideas??

cheers

Well...if they are cloth you can't spray them obviously.
Re-trimming woiuld be the best option. I think Beau had some for sale...try dropping him a pm.
Other than that you could do a re-trim yourself...but I've never attempted so I can't give you any advice on that.

you can get some REALLY nice fake leather from Dunelm Mill, my mother covers stuff with it and you could be fooled into thinking its leather by look and touch. its easy to work with, im sure with a bit of thought and a pot of copydex you could make a great job.

im not sure what i want to do. im tempted to buy some black fabric. and a lot of pva. that should do the trick right?

i dont know whether pva is the same as copydex, but i was recommended copydex by a pro for jobs such as this.
i think it is the same (y)

just try it, the worst that can happen is a trip to the scrappies to get some new doorcards to replace the ones you bodged :)

yeh i reckon it would look pretty awesome, just plain black doors. i cud then do the inside door handles n tht in silver like ive done with the airvent n tht.

will look tight.
lol

wont do it too soon but when im done there will def b pics up of it.

Does copydex still smell of fish like it used to?

Anyways...the only concerns I'd have about using pva is that is may soak through the material. You could use spray adhesive like the stuff you'd use on ICE installs...but I'm guessing that's quite expensive.
The other option that springs to mind would be staples...normally the cloth is held on by little staples into the doorcard...have a look at the back of the cards when you take them off for ideas.

staples... thts a good point the only thing is the door cards arent flat are they? so there would be air in between the card and the material. if tht makes sense.

will probs use copydex. even if it does still smell of fich im sure the smell will go away eventually...

:)

well... up the diy and fabric shop i go!

will put some pics up when im done... probs wont be this weekend though.
