hi
im trying to take the door panel off so i can fit my central locking but i dont know how to remover the window winder also once its of do you just remover the plastic behind the panel

Winders are held in by a little u-shaped clip...that probably has a specific name.
The easiest way I've found to remove them is to get a big of clean rag and slide it beneath the winder handle towards the pivot....then saw the cloth back and forward....you might have to keep adjusting it to find the right spot...but the clip should come off easily when you find it.

Thanks crabbo_1 for the magic cloth trick for losening window winder. I had to slide the cloth behind the circular plastic fob thing which separates the winder from the panel. Felt like a magician when the winder, which had absolutely refused to budge, just fell off.

LOL..no probs....you can remove them using a screwdriver and a bit of patience......but you increase the chance of damaging things with a screwdriver.
