Technical were is located the fuel filter?????

hey guys

can anyone tell me were is located the fuel filter in my 2000 punto mk2 1.2 v8?????????

The fuel filter is within the fuel pump its under the rear seats, you should see a black round cover thats where it is. The fuel filter on the MK2 is not a serviceable item, if the filter goes then im pretty sure that the whole pump needs replacing, your best bet is to just run some injector cleaner through the system.

yeah man i guess that the injectors needs to be servised. that f****** punto is geting to slow man.

ejj guys. i just removed one of the spark plugs out, my bro which is a mechanic told me that the engine is working with low fuel. Today I’ve put some injector cleaner in the system hoping it will fix the problem. If that punto will still be slow I guess the only thing left will be the “fuel filter” in the center under the read seat there’s the fuel pump. Well I called fiat about this. They told me that the fuel filter is right beneath the car under the rear seat, passenger side (right hand drive car).But couldn’t find it. Man I’m confused

you get to teh fuel pump from inside the car. under neath the seat. pump and filter are one unit both have to be replaced.

The car on idle will run lean and with no load the ecu makes it run lean.

If your car lacks performance, the question is when did you last:
change the plugs - are they gapped correctly? Torqued correctly? - Could be losing compression
Change the oil - Did you use an engine flush, you could be loosing alittle compression with sticky piston rings?
Cleaned the throttlebody? - When they are dirty they reduce the throttle response..
Clean the airfilter/replace it (often people buy induction kits and never clean them resulting in poor performance.
