Hi inside my car theres that horrible grey colour dash! i think its just ugly and they car would look better maybe just plain black or something. Can anyone tell me if it would look better spraying black and if thats poss? also what i would need to use and everything like that please. Im thinking about spraying all the gray black and the middle section silver. I have got a Mk2 2001 Punto Y Reg 1.2..

thanks everyone!

well assuming its a mk1 then you can remove most of the dash pieces and paint them., you'll have to get plastic primer, laquer, colour paint, P1000 or P1200 wet&dry sandpaper, allen keys, and a diamond head screw driver.,
once you remove the parts from the car, the ether clip out or with the centre bit there is allen keys on it, then you need to remove any instruments from them and wash them down to remove dash cleaner and stuff, after that sub them with te sandpaper, then a coat of plastic primer., then your colour, i always prefer to give a coat of grey primer in between plastic primer and colour coz it gives a better base for the colour so you need less paint and also it acts like a filler for small blemishes., then a few coats of the colour, let it dry in between coats for about 15mins and after that give it a few coats of laquer, this is the important bit, you have to build up a good layer of laquer on the pieces so that when there fully dry you can rub them down with the sandpaper and make them flat., then you just give them a good rub with t-cut and they'll look great.,(y)

the mk2 hgt and sporting are both with black dash. i intend to spray my dash all black like the hgt and spray the central silver with the clock frame and the vents on the side (same silver of the car) :p
