Hello ppl,
i bought a new dash (sporting one wiv the rev counter) for my 8v mk2 but when i plugged it in the LED segment (where the clock etc is) keeps on flashing. does anyone know how to get it to stop or will i have to go to the dealer?

Sometimes turning the car on / off for a few times (about 20 I was told) will clear that sort of problem.

Can't say for sure though, certainly a lot cheaper than a FIAT garage though :)

Its a fail safe to stop people clocking the car by fitting a new speedo, look in the yellow pages for milage adjuster centres that will sort you out.

It's got nothing to do with clocking! I fitted one of these today! On the fiat examiner you have a proceedure called proxi allignment and it basically configures the new cluster to the body computer. I fitted one to a base model even the diesel glow plug lights up until you configure it properly. If there was an intermittant fault that no longer is present than so many turnes of the ignition can delete the error in the body comp. It's self learning enough to know if the fault hasn't occured for a while then its not worth remembering. Not sure if it would work for this though.
