hi guys :) after driving a sporting for over a year i got bored and one morning i woke up with the idea of going turbo :) ... not long after that (three days actually) i put it in the garage and took it apart not really knowing what i'm doing :) .... and after a month and a half of reading books making phonecalls and drinking beer in the garage i ended up with a 16vT running an 18psi and wheelspin in third gear :) the car ran absolutely smooth and the power was frightening .. the bad news is that after 500km of full throttle the headgasket blew but no other damage at all :) my custom MLS headgasket will arrive by the end of the week and it will be up and running again (y)

the setup is:

custom manifold .. made by me :)
kkk16 turbo
custom downpipe
50mm. turbo hoses
standart fuel pump
audi TT bosch new style injectors 317cc./min@3bar
some chinese s***t blowoff .. surprisingly LOUD
punto GT intercooler
standart pistons with double gasket ~8.2:1CR (soon MLS - 8:1CR)
standart electronics ... only the map sensor is changed with a 250kpa unit
remap

here are some pics i made with my phone sorry for the bad quality : http://www.snimka.bg/album.php?album_id=32051

i'll be happy to hear your questions, comments and advises ... thanks in advance and sorry for my bad eglish :)

Hi nice to see you've started your own thread :)
Welcome to the Fiat Forum.
They're very shy out there so give them a little time (y)

This engine and mods are for real. We've been chatting via pm over the last 2 months.

What sort of power are you putting out?
0 tom 60 time?
Any problems with detonation?

0-60 around 6.6-6.7 sec.
1/4 mile 14.62sec. :)

can do better but with 14" tires wheelspin is unbearable :) will try some slicks next time when i'm on track :)

no sign of detonation pistons and plugs are absolutely clean ... the car ran fine on 1 bar but the gaskets didnt hold that much :)

it is high because pictures are old :) it is now sitting on -50mm springs and bilstein shocks :) ... completely different look ;) ... measured 11sm. clearance from front bumper to ground

i'm far far away from you :) ... but it's not that difficult to do it yourself ... do the turbo things and leave the car to a garage to do their computer magic and leave with a turbo monster :)

it is standart ecu ... just the map sensor is changed to 250kpa (standart is 105kpa and can't see above atmospheric pressure) and then it is remapped on the road ... we used dimsport race 2000 software+MET16 emulator and innovate motorsports wideband lambda ... we havent measured EGT yet but i presume it is fine ... no glowing in the dark after a lot of full throttle driving :)

still waiting for the headgasket and having nothing else to do took the grinder and head is now slightly ported and with nice fine polish :) ... perhaps it wont make much difference in performance but it is nice to see all the imperfections go away :) ... all ports are now around 2mm bigger and matched to the intake manifold :)

no dyno figures yet :( ... i'm quite curious what the results would be :D our dyno is quite busy all the time i'll have to call them to put me on scadule soon ... :)

it is back and running again after a week of finding electrical problems :bang: :( the car ran perfect for about 10 minutes then injection light comes on ... loses idle starts to jugger and makes explosions from the exhaust when it sees some boost :( ... it turned out to be faulty map sensor which loses the signal from time to time ... hope nothing wrong will happen these days because i'm getting really tired of it

completely forgot about the videos :) i have some on my GF's PC i'll upload them the day after tommorow cos she is out of town :)
