Can any of you guys offer some help, the problem is this.

I have recently bought a 1996 Punto 75 ELX and was having the odd fuel injector warning light problem with a loss of power for abou 1 - 2 seconds. As I don't know when this car was last serviced I decided that I would change the air filter and plugs and also put some of that injector cleaner in just in case the injectors were cloged. When putting in the new plugs I noticed that one of the HT cables was split so I bought a new set and put these on too. Since I have done that the injector warning light stays on all the time until the engine warms up (about 5 minutes of driving) and when it goes off the engine revs erratically up to the 4000 - 5000 mark for about 10 - 20 seconds, the injector light comes on again, then goes off immediately and everything is fine from then on in. If I stop the car, turn it off and then re-start it within a couple of minutes (while the engine is still warm) the injector light comes on and goes off as it is supposed to do when you are experiencing no problems with it. From reading this forum I'm thinking that it could be the engine coils (which are on order) or the engine coolant sensor, I don't think that it's the lambada sensor as there is no problem when the car is warm. I should also mention that there is no loss of power when the injector light is on (unlike the original fault prior to replacing plugs, HT cables and air filter). Any advice from you guys would be appreciated :)

Don't bother changing coil units unless you have a very noticable missfire. If you do. Swap coil units to make sure its the coil, they are both the same.
