after noticing my airbag light never lights at the turn of the key then extinguishes, i decided to take the speedo pod out and investigate.

then discivered somone previous to me has stuck black tape over the bulb, so i removed it, and plugged it all back in,

now my airbag light is constantly lit.

what will be the reason for this?

how do i fix it, what parts can be to blame/repaired/replaced.

can i reset the ecu to remove fault etc... cheers

Hmm try take the battery off for 5 mins , should be alright then fingers crossed lol

Hi , have u check to see if its been turned Over ( The airBag ) Then the light will be contancly On.....

Could try and reset ecu but i dout it will fix the problem, i think it has to be fixed by fiat dealer it could be just something silly, ask T he will maybe know what it is.

I have same problem on my Mark 2 HGT, it can be two things:

Wiring loom under you seat (£40 job from Fiat)
Or a new Airbag ECU which costs £200 from Fiat plus fitting or £100 from breakers.
