(G) Remote central locking not working

Hi folks,

I have a 1997 Punto Sporting.

My remote central locking has suddenly stopped working. I've changed the batteries in the blue remote key, the red LED lights up when i press it. I have noticed though that the red LED stays on, slightly longer than it used to....

The central locking still works if i use the keys in the locks.

Does anyone know when the receiver is located in the car?

Ideas please

im sure the receiver unit is located in the boot..

receiver is under on the speakers in the boot....can't remember which side though.

Its on the right as you look at it, and it should have a 4 digit code, on a sticker, which is the code for your key...you may need to re-programe it in.

Or there is a bit (looks like a bug) on the circuit board, inside your key which may need to be re-soldered as it is pushed against by the button...silly design tbh
