Should be hopefully getting my car remapped soon plus will get the clutch done at the same time. I can get a good price on the original clutch plus my dad's friend can fit it. He owes me.

Anyway - the car is a Punto JTD 80BHP with 63K on the clock. Will an engine remap cause any problems down the line, ie, turbo failure etc? How are you finding your remap? Has it caused any problems etc? I've heard a few bad stories that all.

i have had mine remapped 2yrs no problems so far

Cool. Details? BHP increase? Milage? How many miles have covered since?

standard 85hp remap 128hp
torque 145lbs 209lbs
remapped at about 14k now approaching 28k
45mpg 2-3 mile trips, 50-55mpg m/way
best 67mpg, iow for a week and back

Haven't booked anything just of yet - but its most probably going to be Celtic Tuning.

Had mine done at 74k, now 81k, only problem is the clutch which slips a fair bit. Should be ok with just a new one, but I'm holding out for a bit to see if someone comes up with a better idea, there are a lot more JTDs on here recently, so more chance of someone finding something.

I also had a chippeduk map so should be pushing similar figs to Toad

BHP/Torque?

myself and randomman have gsr induction kits

you and your diesels all you do is leave black smoke wherever you go hehe joking , have a mate who had a jtd running about 120 bhp, always had problems with clutch slipping, pity noone makes decent clutched for JTDs.
