I finally got my punto 55S into the local dealer for a diagnostic check He found a pipe'with a hole in it' fixed it & the report says:
No errors showed up on the examiner
when car was on ramp found a faulty pipe that was sucking air
Repaired pipe
tickover seems fast.
& thats it so I still don't know what is causing the fast & erratic tickover
& that cost me £35.84 & a chance to have a good look at a new Panda 100 & an awful cup of Maxpac coffee(20p!) Alfa Coupe looked nice tho'
