Thinking of Upgrading my speakers.
Anyone Know how to remove the speaker covers on 3 door GP?
Do you need to take whole panel off or do the panels around the speakers remove? if so how?
Does anyone one know What size the speakers are?
Same questions for the front if anyone has the answers.
Any pics will help.

Cheers
Shaun

I had the rear speakers on my GP sporting replaced last week at the dealer service because of bad sound in the back. The rear are definitely 13" and as I've been told the front 17".

At first I thought of changing the speakers at the audio dealer but when they told me that in order to so they needed to take out the rear seats and then the whole rear panels I didn't want to risk it and went straight to the dealer.
It apparently took them 4 hours to make the change, but I believe its the safest way. I wouldnt trust anybody to dismantle my new Fiat other than someone who is doing that for living.

You also need to take out the whole front panels for the front speakers.

Btw the factory ones are some cheap Chinese speakers. I'll change the front ones as soon as I have more time.

I assume you mean 13cm not inches -
If what you say is correct it would be easier to disconnect old ones from the radio and rewire new ones to the parcel shelf.
Thanks for that

Thats correct, door panels off (speakers they are riveted on) & the rear ones (3door) involves rear seats out,B & C pillar, parcel shelf mount trim removal...4 hours is about right.

i kinda broke/cracked my drivers side speaker cover when i was trying to figure out how the hell to replace the speakers. suffice to say i left it as it was as i couldnt figure out a decent way of getting access to them.

when i was running the audio + power cables from the head unit + battery to the boot, i had both back passenger pannels off at an angle where they simply snap into place where the seatbelt is, there was just enough space for me to get my hand behind it to run the cables to the boot. ive got cables comming out of the left and right hand side where the back seats lock into place. thats the only area i could see to run them , as i didnt want to start drilling holes in the brand new car!

if you can paste a few pictures of how to remove the front door pannels that would be great, perhaps could sticky it too for others to see!

jdr.
