The light inside the boot of my car stopped turning on. I verified that the bulb is okay with a multimeter.
The forums on here suggested to check the contacts on the latch closing mechanism. Sure enough, I find corrosion in there. The fourth pin was wobbling so I think this has broken off from the circuit board.
What do you think - would you pay £20 for a new latch to get this fixed? (Car is a 2011 with 75,000 miles)
From what I could see, the module was sealed shut with two rivets so I didn't try too hard to open it to resolder the pin.
