I’ve recently purchased a 60 plate1.4 evo with 67k for a good price, due to drive shaft crapping itself. After struggling to source the correct drive shaft I finally got it on the road and rolling.
The ride is well low, boy racer type sitting on coilovers which is any other issue, I’ll get to that.
My main issue is the engine man light is on and have scanned it a few times. First code was P0243 = boost control valve -open circuit. After a bit of hunting I found a split intercooler pipe, that’s now fixed, the air whistle has now gone. We cleared the fault code, all was good no light came back on. Next morning on start up the light was lite like that annoy early Christmas lights putter uppers.
Rescanned, different fault. P0235 intake pressure sensor malfunction, from what I’ve read that can be a proper sh*t fault code to narrow down.
Looking at turbo and actuator, something has been replaced recently, looks small electrical black box forward left on turbo unit. What is the proper module called? I’m thinking that could be the issue?
Lastly, I’m trying to source a pair of coil over cups to stop the rear coilover springs falling out, thus failing a MOT, my local tester said if he can lift them out he’ll fail it. It has 2 months to run, I want to sell it with a fresh ticket.
