My battery on my evo died. Its an start&stop system. So I was wondering, can I put a normal battery or it needs to be start stop technology. I dont care about start stop.

See on the old battery if there is the EFB or AGM description otherwise a good brand 60Ah battery does the trick

Obviously a non stop start battery would start the car but I have no idea on the long term impact.

The car tests the health of the battery and decides if it’s ok to operate stop start, and it doesn’t know what actual battery is fitted. if you fitted a non stop start battery and the car decided the battery charge was good enough to keep stopping and restarting the engine then that may well quickly damage a normal battery
