Hi guys,

Not having much luck with fiat puntos. This is my second GP, this one is an evo 1.4L 105bhp multiair - bought June 2020 from a dealership (out of warantee just) - 3 months, well kept otherwise.

Basically I am wondering for people who know about cars and mechanics if once this problem is salvaged, could I still have a car that would run problem free for a few years? I have had issues with my old GP and got rid, but I really like the comfort/style of fiat cars.

The garage have quoted it may be £600 as 2 x new springs were needed for multiair which cost £250-300, engineers need to remove fragments from the cylinder head and replace at least 1 cylinder.

Is the car worth keeping after this work is done? Are there any testimonies that a 10-year old punto evo can be a reliable car for the next few years for work? Mine has 70k miles usually drives well (reg 2010) only thing is clutch tiny bit sticky. Thank you in advance
