Hi,
I have a Fiat Punto Evo Sporting 2011. Does anyone know how to fit a tow strap to the car, and also does any tow strap work or must it be specific brands/makes. I say this because it seems like quiet a long bolt is needed.

I would only like a front tow strap, there is a small hatch that opens specially for it.

what's the purpose of it? are you actually planning to tow the car with it or is it for looks ?

Generally speaking if you look under the boot carpet you should find one there.

It is just for style and looks. Don't have any plans to take it on track.

I saw some tow eyes on eBay recently. Two types. One is alloy anodised in a range of colours the other on Ali express were webbing all cheap enough.

If fitted when put in for an MOT, it may fail if considered potentially injurious to pedestrians.

Even if not due for an MOT, a police officer may notice and stop you for the same reason. They can issue a notice to ensure it is rectified. You have to go to an MOT station and pay a fee for an inspection, then present this to a police station. However, that will remain on record, and if you refit it, any subsequent stop may result in prosecution.

There's a reason the front of a car is smooth.

Another thought:
The image you think you are presenting, may not be the one others think they are receiving.
One interpretation might be, "My car breaks down so much, I have a permanent tow strap fitted."
Other interpretations may be avialable.
