If I have the AC on for a long time, the entire passenger footwell fills with water. It's happened a few times so I am confident that the issue occurs as a result of the AC.

Each time, I have lifted the carpets to soak up the water with a towel. I don't see where's it coming from. Could it even be condensation?

Summer is coming up again so I'm hoping to be able to fix this.

Thanks!

The issue doesn't appear after it rains or when driving through puddles.

The AC air intake doesn't look blocked but I'll go and try dumping some water on it now to see.

There is indeed a drain. It is condensation that forms on the evaporator inside the car as the air passes over it. This usually drips into a channel and to the outside of the car.

In your case the channel is either blocked or damaged. it is usually a little black rubber ended tube on the bulkhead in the engine bay.
