Hi again :)

I managed to find the error on the fuel matter so now the car gets diesel

I can crank the motor and it starts right away only to stop after 2-4 sec

Have bleed the rail, and the pump is a replacement pump which has been tested

Any ideas as to why it starts up and dies immediately after?

Hoping someone can help :)

390 when cranking the engine and goes up to 9xx

But might have found the problem - I discovered that if I feed the air intake via my compressor then it idles fine which could suggest an EGR valve stuck in the open position

Will keep you updated once disassembled tomorrow ?

well - i've gotten somewhat further in my car history, but still the problem is not completely fixed

today i changed the EGR to a brand new one - old one was pretty clogged up, but not sure if enough to cause problems. Cleaned the pipe going into the intake manifold - this was very clogged up - now totally clean

Tried turning on the engine, but still same problem - will start up and run for 5 seconds

Then i removed the connection to the MAF sensor and car (of course went into limp mode) but idles fine and runs fine.... hmm

Got hold of a new MAF sensor, but this didn't solve the issue - checked my MAP sensor which was also pretty clogged up - have tried cleaning it, whether that works i'm not sure

last thing to check tomorrow is whether i have a leak in my intake system as the car will run without error code but slow on throttle - and when passing 2500 rpm it kinda sets out/stalls and the engine light comes on followed by a turbo charge error

Will keep you updated - advice on possible cause highly appreciated :)

oh how i would have loved to reply with a yes - but unfortunatelly that is not the case

have not changed the
EGR
MAP
MAF
Pierburg
and still it does not work :(

Get the following errors in MultiECUScan:

P0238-61 Turbo pressure
P0101-22 Air Flow meter signal

Have tried checking the values on MAP and MAF, but since i have no reference i am not sure what i am looking for

here are the values:

MAP
Ignition on, engine off

Red/white wire = 1,619 volts
White/orange = 5 volts
White/green = 2,203 volts
brown/purple = 0,022 volts

Ignition on, engine on

Red/white wire = 1,595 volts
White/orange = 2,384 volts
White/green = 2,377 volts
brown/purple = 0,016 volts

MAF

Ignition on, engine off

Blue/green = 2,595 volts
White/blue = 2,342 volts
Yellow/grey = 0,024 volts
Blue/black = 12,49 volts

Ignition on, engine on

Blue/green = 2,553 volts
White/blue = 2,859 volts
Yellow/grey = 0,001 volts
Blue/black = 13,84 volts

whether these are showing an error i have no idea - but perhaps some of you guys can help :)

btw - just noticed that my outside temperature on the display just shows "---" but if that's connected i don't know :)

hope someone can help :)

have not changed the
EGR

MAF
Pierburg
and still it does not work

should read

have changed

:)
I've just heard in the office that the pressure pickup tubes that are assembled on the particle filter sometimes crack. Looks like they are assembled on a way that makes them wear due to fatigue. In this case the car gives all sort of errors but nothing related with what it actually is.
Can you inspect these?

these are the tube i was referring on my previous post IMG_20200228_133408.jpegIMG_20200228_133404.jpegIMG_20200228_133359.jpeg

Thx for the input
Had the car checked today by an auto technician who found a bad connection in the CAN BUS system

Got that sorted and afterwards the ECU complained that the DPF was clogged up

The DPF is now undergoing cleaning at a local DPF shop - and ahould get I back tomorrow - then time will tell if that was the problem

Will keep you updated ?
