So for the last few weeks I've been having an issue where the parking light on the passenger side stays on, even after I've left the car for a few hours.
I'm not 100% sure what the light actually is, whether it's a general turning light, or a parking light, but in either case - it's one of the small circle lights at the base of the front bumper that turns on when you steer left / right. I only notice them when I'm parking, but it might do the same when going round tight corners as well?
Ordinarily it will turn on when you steer in the direction, then turn off when you straighten up. The driver's side does this fine, but the passenger side sticks on. Not always, I can see it turn on / off in the reflections on other cars and windows, but typically by the time I stop the car at my house it'll be stuck on.
I thought initially it happened if I went full lock left so have been trying to avoid doing that, but it seems to be happening more generally now.
To fix it occasionally works if I reverse full lock in either direction, or if I drive around the block, typically turning right. Invariably I find myself trying a number of arbitrary manoeuvres for 10 minutes each day until I get fed up and it either works or I leave it for an hour or so and come back to try again.
With regards to the various other lights, as far as I can tell sidelights, dipped beam, full beam and fog-lights all seem to be different lights and all work fine. Equally 'follow me home' lights do work, and will turn off after the relevant time, but leave this one solitary bulb shining away.
Short of just removing the bulb, I'd love to work out what it is.
