Got a,new to me, 2012 Punto Evo and have been having a problem with no blue&me and flashing mileage. Took it to fiat for diagnosis and have been told I need a new ECU at £500. The diagnosis paperwork shows the car as a 2009 Grande Punto, does this mean it has the wrong ECU and does need the £500 spending or is a update or refurbishment going to solve it?

Hi. :)

You should have more info from them for your £130..

Its possible that somebody has fitted scrapyard parts to it..

But worth getting it checked over before spending more money.

Where are you based?

It’s not a grande punto per se however depending on the engine and body configuration, it’s likely it shares Things like ECUs with the grande, there where electronic changes to blue and me in 2010/11 with the evo.

Now you don’t say which ecu they want to replace, however if it is the blue and me computer then it’s likely that they have got it wrong and it needs to be tested as a blue and me 2 computer from a later model car than the B&M ecu that would have been fitted to the 2009 grande.
