Air con stopped working so took it for a re charge but still won’t work. The compressor is not kicking in. When you switch it on the green light comes on and the radiator fan comes on. I’m thinking it could be a faulty pressure switch is there any way to by pass it to test the compressor?

When you took it to me regassed did they not test it ?

Normally you would run the car for a while after a regassed to make sure that everything is working

Yes obviously but they think it might be the pressure sensor but don’t have the software to do a full test on the car hence why I’m on here asking the questions

This is not an on off pressure switch, you could possibly replicate it if you made your own circuit but otherwise you'd need to plug it in to a diagnostics machine or a Laptop running MES to read the pressures.

It would be usual to be a pressure sensor, and any air con place happy enough to charge you for a regas should also be competent enough to diagnose simple faults and should not be charging you if they can't get it working.

You don't ask a builder to build you a house then sit back happy when he delivers a few pallets of bricks and says, there you are.
