Hello guys,

I'm a proud owner of 2011 Natural Power Punto Evo. Since I've acquired the car one year ago I had several issues with light system.

Let me begin:

Headlights are always on
No matter what I do the lights simply won't turn off. As soon as I turn the key they turn on and until I sever the contact (turn off the car) they stay turned on. Doesn't matter if I put the switch into any position.

Daylights do not work at all
I tried turning them on in the menu, changed the bulbs, changed the safety fuse, but they just won't turn on no matter what I do.

Corner light aren't working
When I turn they just won't go on. When I activate both of them on the switch they work, but into corners nothing.

Did anyone have similar experience with these issues?

The cornering lights are turned on and off in the menus on the dash so I’d start there. The headlights and the daytime running lights are probably the same issue, the daytime lights switch off with the headlights on so if you can’t switch the headlights off then the daytime running lights won’t come on.

I would probably take a look at the relays under the bonnet, I suspect your headlight relay is stuck in the on position.

I think I have a similar problem.

Does your small sidelight bulb also turn on at the same time as the dipped beam bulb?

I'm ready to replace the lights stalk because I read in another thread that the may computer default the lights to this position when the stalk is giving no siganl. But that user's problem was not exactly like mine so I am not sure if it is worth going to all the effort without knowing.

Check ( pull..) the relays first ;)

I'm not really sure which ones to look at. The handbook has only described the fuses and not the relays. Do you suggest I pull them all out one at a time and then turn the car on to check if it has allowed the lights to turn off?

I fixed my issue (so far so good).

There's a black and a red wire running through the stem of the lights control stalk. You can pry the back off easily using just a knife - gently push it into the the top until it pops up a bit. Then the plastic panel rotate to reveal the insides. From here I was able to see that the red wire had snapped right at the ball joint.

I got the idea to check this after another user in this forum described the same issue but for me I had to disassemble the entire steering wheel area in order to solder the wires back together.

Easy fix. Would recommend.
