Hi all,
Glad to join you all on the forum.
This may sound silly and obvious, but here goes.
I have just purchased a 2010 punto evo active 3 door 1.4 77hp, and have one or 3 niggles that I hope you good people can answer.
1) Can anyone tell me if there is a usb port on this car and where it can be found.
2) How do you answer a call via the blue&me system without having to use your phone, I push the handset on the steering wheel but nothing seems to happen.
3) The car has 81k on the clock and I have no history with it, When should the timing belt be done as I have no way of checking.
Thanks for reading.

Hello [emoji4]

USB port can be in glove box or next to the front central cup holder where the windows logo is.

Once you’ve connected your phone to the blue & me (double check your phone to make sure it’s connected, if it’s a modern phone then it may play up a bit as the technology in the car is old), then when a call comes through, their name will appear on the screen on the dash and you press the telephone on the steering wheel to answer and then hold down to end.

Timing belt/water pump should be done after 5/6 years, so yes I’d have it done if I were you [emoji1360]

Thanks Normy19 for the reply, that's what I thought about the receiving of calls, Must be the old tech v new android phone as it don't work for me,
I'll have another look for that elusive USB port later, didn't think to look at the front central cup holder where the windows logo is!!.
Timing belt is next on my to do list, Just had an oil change as the sump was leaking so had it removed and resealed.
Is there anywhere that will need to be treated for rust, Just bought aquaseal to do some work.

My iPhone sometimes connects automatically when I get in, sometimes not. Then sometimes the calls just cut off and I get a loud buzzing sound that doesn’t stop so I have to just turn the radio off [emoji849] I just don’t use it while I’m driving now, as it never really works anyway. The Bluetooth nowadays is just much more advanced, too much for our puntos to handle [emoji1360]

Yeah the USB is under a sliding bit of plastic, so it doesn’t fill with crumbs and dust.

I don’t have any rust on wheel arches or anywhere on the external paint. The only place I have rust is on the boot door, at the bottom towards the inside, where water will accumulate and just sit there. Apart from the usual rusted rear exhaust box that always rusts, that’s the only place I can think that will rust completely. Brake drums are really rusted on the outside but they’re not rust protected or painted so that’s a next for me, but new drums and get them painted black before putting them on [emoji4]

If you have the windows logo in the cup holder area, you’ll find it slides open to reveal the USB port.

My blue and me plays up as wel, I have the later system with voice control, works ok most of the time, it sometimes it will go through a cycle of connecting and disconnecting the Bluetooth call meaning the radio keeps cutting in loudly and deafening the persons on the other end of the phone.
