Hi everyone,

I'm having issues with my 2011 Punto Evo's sound system, I've tried looking through other threads but can't seem to find anyone with the same problem as me :/

I always connect my iPhone to blue & me wherever I go and almost a year into having the car I starting having an issue with skipping songs.

The songs from Spotify play fine if I let them play and not try to change songs through the car, but as soon as I skip a song using the buttons on the dash or on my steering wheel it repeats the same two or three songs over and over again no matter how many times I press the forward or back buttons.

So obviously its a problem with my car rather than Spotify or my phone and I have no clue what to do because I've searched online for others with similar problems but can't find any answers.

Any help would be massively appreciated.
Thank you

I’m confused, what are you basing this opinion on?

Firstly you have a blue and me system that actually recognises the iPhone, this in itself is a miracle.

If you leave it to play the Spotify ap will realise the song has ended and then play the next one.

If you try to skip via the phone, my assumption is it will skip to the next song fine.
I don’t know how Spotify interfaces with the phone and blue and me, but the car when asked to skip may look at the current playlist, if the Spotify app only tells the phone about the one song that is currently playing so when you try to skip it just restarts the one song the car is being told about by the phone.

I think this is all software, the car is probably working fine but is limited, as you are trying to get an old car to work with 2019 technology.
