Hello

Is the front indicator unit on fiat punto evo a small light built in the bumper under the head/side lights. The plastic has broken and i would imagine its needs replacing to pass the MOT.

How easy is it to remove/replace and is it very expensive?

I would be grateful for your replies.

Many thanks

Hi. Have a look in the FAQs and GUIDES.

Will be similar to the grande..as an access route

Probably identical to 2012+ puntos.

I am sure somebody did this last year...

( had the front wheel off my 2012 today..there seems to be an access panel in the wheel arch liner )

That access panel is terrible at ‘accessing’ anything, that’s if you can get it open as no doubt the screws have rusted.

The indicator on a Punto Evo is independent to the headlights, yes.

I changed the front fiat badge, and to do that I had to remove the front bumper (few screws under the car, some in the wheel arches, and some under the bonnet) and that is dead easy to take off and gives you full access to everything.

I’m unsure if you’d need a full indicator unit, or if the plastic cover is separate. You’d probably need to inspect it first and see.

Check with your local Fiat dealership to see how much a new plastic cover/unit would be as they might be cheaper than elsewhere. If not, have a look at a breakers yard, or eBay, amazon, euro car parts etc.

I would imagine it’s easy to change with just a few tools.

Hope your car passes it’s MOT [emoji4]
