Hi all,

I have a Punto Evo Multiair 1.4 and I'm having trouble with the heater (i've tried looking through existing threads to solve this issue). I've taken the heater out (under/behind glove box) and cleaned it after it stopped working and this resolved the problem for approx 6 weeks but it's given up again.

I want to buy a replacement, however, the listings I'm finding on eBay are suggesting the available heaters are only for models without air con, although they do look exactly like the heater I've cleaned on the car. Mine has air con which is a button just above the 4 speed heat selector, if that makes sense.

I can't seen to find a compatible product that I can buy and fit myself, could any help/suggest where I may find the right part.

Thank you.

Hi. What failed.. the wiring?

All the units with 'twisty knobs'
Should be similar.. its a GM product..corsaD

The climate control is different.. no tesistor pack controlling fan speeds.

Yours sounds like the cheaper option to gix.. but we need to know what has failed

Hi,

thank you for the reply.

Yea it's just a sealed unit, I don't think its the wiring as when I disconnected the motor and cleaned it off, it worked again for a good few weeks and I hadn't touched the wiring. When turning between 1-4 speeds the fan will just make a churning sound with limited/no output before giving up. On the odd occasion the fan will work fine for a 20 minute journey which is odd.

I seem to have found an appropriate heater motor now on eBay which I'm considering purchasing today, could the problem be something other than this?
